About Rebecca
Rebecca Madeira is a multidisciplinary artist from New Jersey.
With a B.A. in Music from Rutgers’ Mason Gross School of the Arts, she is a classically trained soprano and actor who has performed in theaters, concert halls, churches, recording studios, gardens, and art galleries in the U.S. and abroad. (She even received the Lotte Lenya Emerging Artist Award for her work in 2023!)
Offstage, she works as a director and composer, and she’s passionate about collaborative ensemble work and devised pieces. She’s even collaborating with her sister Emily on some upcoming video games.
She is also a teaching artist and private vocal coach, and she strives to help students develop their own unique voice and use it express themselves truthfully and healthily.
In her spare time, you can find her playing Dungeons and Dragons, writing poetry, or making mediocre pottery. She also makes a mean French onion soup.
